1) Malcolm Gladwell- known as one of the famous Canadian journalist, writer and pop-sociologist. Since, 1996 he has been a staff writer for “The New Yorker”. Malcolm is famous throughout the world by his works like “The Tipping Point,” “Blink,” and “Outliers” which became international bestsellers. According to the information from electronic library, Gladwell articles and books often relate to unexpected consequences of research in the social sciences, and are widely used in scientific research, particularly in the fields of sociology, psychology and social psychology. 2) Author’s main point- Gladwell main point is that tall people, specifically men are all successful. Why he said this, is because they are all in position of authority in companies and their salary makes on average $5,525 more per year. Last year a study by Edinburgh University found there to be a “significant genetic correlation” between height and IQ: taller people tended to be smarter. Only 30% of this link could be explained by environmental influences, the research noted. The rest is down to genetics. Author’s biases- Everything mentioned above states that, tall people gain more success than short people. Somehow it is called heightism discrimination, which means that discrimination against individuals whose height is not within the normal acceptable range of height in a population. This means that people, whose height is within normal acceptable range of height are luckier while people who are short face issues. By saying issues, I mean finding job with good salary and that is what Malcolm wants us to think
