Josephine March Character Study The character I am going to write about is Josephine March. Josephine, also known as Jo is a fifteen year old tomboy. Jo is the second oldest in the March family, she has an older sister called Meg who is very caring and good natured. Beth, the third March sister is very symphonic and Amy, the youngest child who is quite selfish and outgoing! Jo is a strong and wilful young woman who struggles to subdue her strong personality. Jo’s father is currently away so she takes the role of the ‘man of the house!’ Her best friend and neighbour, Theodore also known as ‘Laurie’ Laurence lives next door with his grandfather and they are very wealthy.
