In “Whatever He Did Flourish”, Jeanne Wakatsuki Houston explains how Papa has been cocky for reason he had money for his young age, left Japan to later reached to Honolulu and he bragged about how he made it into law school. Papa cockiness show up when he started to believe no other Japanese had the same fortunate as Papa by leaving Japan when it was possible to leave and have money. Also, Papa bragged about going into law school even though he didn’t to finish it, but it was high accomplishment for Papa(Houston 47-59). My teammate, David relates to Papa for the same reason as for being cocky.
