Jean-Jacques Rousseau believes that people are born naturally good but can be corrupted by the evils of society and I agree. I say that our conscience tells us when we inflict pain on someone that it is wrong, therefore giving us a sliver of humanity left. A baby doesn’t have a conscience because it doesn’t know if it is hurting something or someone, therefore by default it is naturally good. As that baby grows up, it advances in society. It realizes society is evil, but it can’t fight it. Society swallows it whole and throws it into a black pit. In this black pit, the baby is now an adult. The adult meets other people in the pits that were once like it. These other people are evil and need a new companion. So they recruit the new adult where
