News stations face the complicated decision of whether or not they should air a story on a daily basis. In Idaho two local stations were competing for the number two spot when they were faced with the decision for the James Kimball story. Now, I understand that this would be a very interesting story to many viewers, but if I were the news channel director I would not have aired it. News is extremely timely and sometimes stories must be aired in spite of lack of knowledge. And in this case parents should know that their children are in the presence of a registered sex offender, but this case wasn’t exactly a time sensitive story.
