Response to Is Facebook Making Us Lonely?
Stephen Marche, in his article Is Facebook Making Us Lonely?, addresses the problem of technology making people more lonely, and making us denied the happiness that we could have. To support his argument, Marche uses a lot of research data and statistics. He compares the percentage of people in American feeling lonely in 20th century and in the 21st century. The data and studies that he provided are undoubted and have authority, which those statistics really surprise me as a reader. Looking back to my own experience, I agree with the author that not only isolation is rising in our society, but also the feeling of loneliness, and all of those are due to technology.
