When it comes to human services, there are sometimes more questions easier to ask than to answers. Depending on who you ask the questions to, you may never get the same answer twice. One main questions when it comes to HHS is “What exactly is human services?” There is no generally accepted or “official” definition of human services (Harris). What we do know is that human services is all about improving the quality of life for community members whom may need assistance in meeting the basic needs in life. Some of these community members come from many different walks of life. Many are minorities, refugees, children, victims of domestic abuse, the homeless, the elderly and those suffering from mental illness and diseases.
