I Am Zlatan by Zlatan Ibrahimovic is an inspiring autobiography describing and telling the story of soccer player Zlatan Ibrahimovic's career and how he got to where he is today. I Am Zlatan tells the story of a soccer prodigy who started in the slums of Malmo, Sweden. The book begins when Zlatan is older, though, while he is at legendary club FC Barcelona, where he has one of the biggest conflicts of his life. This conflict is between him and his coach, Pep Guardiola. The book goes on to cover his entire career, and through it all Zlatan Ibrahimovic portrayed many traits but three that stood out were his feeling of being confined, his nervousness, and the way he is intimidating. At the beginning of the book, Zlatan feels confined after he gets transferred to FC Barcelona. “I barely yelled at my teammates any more. Something had…show more content… I became quiet and that’s lethal, believe me. I have to be angry to play well. I have to scream and shout. Now I kept it in.” (5). After Zlatan gets transfered to FC Barcelona, he starts to notice that he’s behaving in ways he is not used to behaving. These include yelling at his teammates, and exploding on the field. I can relate to the feeling of being confined and how it makes you act out. I remember when I moved from preschool to kindergarten and school changed from being a very friendly,easy-going kind of place where the teachers just wanted us to feel happy, to a place where I had to sit at a desk all day and do a lot of worksheets. I remember when we had recess breaks in kindergarten it felt great and even crazy to run around with my friends. Another quote that shows how Zlatan is feeling confined is when he finally confronts his manager about feeling confined, “I need space, I need to be free. I can’t just run straight up and down the pitch the whole time. I weigh two hundred pounds. I’m not built for that. He mulled it over. He always mulled everything right into
