In "I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud" by William Wordsworth and "Great Ponds" by Mary Oliver differ from how they see themelves in comparison to nature. The first use of metaphors is when he says “When all at once I saw a crowd, A host of daffodils” it’s a greater metaphor of him wandering as lonely crowd and seeing people as flowers. This reflects back on the other of his indifference to the world, he is as a cloud, high above everyone yet he can’t experience the dancing of wind only its pushing and pulling. The next passage, which indicates his individualism with use of metaphors, is when he is talking about stars “Ten thousand saw I at a glance, tossing their heads to sprightly dance” which again illustrates him as different than them. It ends
