The Great Depression, by the time the stock market crashed in 1929 there was a distinct difference between the super wealthy and the poor. Hover, president at the time tried to make some changes in relieve the pain, but the changes were insignificant compared to the problems that the depression brought. America had to suffer through 3 more years of Hover and didn’t find any type of relief until the election of Franklin Roosevelt in 1933. Roosevelt comprised a plan to help with the depression with the New Deal. Roosevelt never specified the schematics of the New Deal, only that he promised to keep doing everything he could until the economy was fixed.
