Did you know that the horned lizard shoots blood out of its eyes when threatened? Or that it is the prey of many animals? You will learn about that, and many other facts about the horned in this project. The horned lizard’s biome is very hot and dry. The lizard lives in the desert and the semi-arid environments of north and central America. These areas get very low rain per year. Sometimes they get no rain at all. In the hotter desert climates during the summer they get temperatures from 104°F to over 113°F. The day might be hot in the desert climates, but the nights are freezing.
