Herat is Dangerous Would you want to live in Herat? Herat has the Taliban living there and is also near active war zones.. If I was living in Herat, I would try to get out of there as soon as possible! Herat is one of the most extremely dangerous cities to live in the world for these reasons. Herat is not a safe place to live because gunfights and bombings are common, the Taliban are not to be trusted, and there is war going on right now. Herat is by far one of the most dangerous cities to live in the world. It is common for terrible and tragic events to happen in Herat. According to Herat Travel Guide, Taliban bombings are common in Herat (Herat Travel Guide). According to Herat Travel Guide, gun battles between the Afghan National Army and Afghan National Police are not unusual (Herat Travel Guide). These quotes shows that Herat is not a safe place to travel because they could end up in the middle of a gunfight or get blown up by a bomb. Obviously, Herat is an unsafe place to travel. Also, these gas attacks hit immediately.
