Henry Perowne is blinded by the idea that everything in his life is exactly as it should be and it is blocking his view of what is directly in front of him. Multiple examples of his lack of awareness are placed throughout Saturday. One of the prime examples of his lack of knowledge is Daisy’s pregnancy. Perowne believe that Daisy and he are extremely close and that they share an incredible bond; in reality if they were as bonded as he believes he would have been enlightened on her pregnancy much, much sooner.
