After Henry’s disappearance in February 1872, there were many theories of how he died. Some of the theories included that Lowry’s disappearance was that he “was seen in New Mexico”, “or that he accidently shot himself with the implication that no one else had the power to kill him” (Ojibwa). Some even say that they noticed him at a friend’s funeral sitting quietly by himself. Even though no one knows the resulting demise of Henry Berry Lowry, he and his group of outlaw’s legend still lives on today. Years after the group was separated and the leader had disappeared many members of the group was either killed or caught.
