Since the beginning of photography, people have been forever improving the ways and methods used to capture images of day to day events. The earliest surviving photo was taken in the year of 1826 by Joseph Nicephorus Niepce. The method of his choice was lithograph. This led too many other inventors to find a better and more efficient way for creating printed photos. We will be looking at two common, but extinct methods that were used to create photographs. Daguerreotype was the first publicly known method of creating a photograph. For 20 years, this method was one of the more common methods in use. This process was invented by Louis Jacques Mande Daguerre in 1839. To make a daguerreotype, the person would polish a sheet of silver-plated copper
