The hammurabi’s code was the a babylonian legal code of the 18th century b.c. or earlier, instituted by Hammurabi and dealing with criminal and civil matters. Some of this codes were fair to the crimes they committed, but most of those laws were unfair to all the casts of people. For me i am still a commoner.I have no title yet because i am a student. Hammurabi’s codes were unfair because there were unfair punishments given to women, there punishments were harder and too strict, it was unfair because the kings were too much powerfull. There were unfair punishments given to women. Women had to go under a lot of hardships. It is possible to believe that the women did do mistakes,but that doesnot mean that the they had to face all this hardships.Some of this laws were 138,129 and many others.In law 129 says ifthewife was found lying with other men then they would bind the both and throw them in water. Now this laws punishments is strict that it leads to decrease in population. They could have sat down together and solved this problems. In 25th law it says “If fire break out in a house, and some one who comes to put it out cast his eye on a property of the owner of his house, and takes the property of the owner of the house, he shall be thrown into that self-same fire.Now this law seems to be nice but it so strict.” This law seems to be fair but its unfair beacuse it you are giving a person to much hardships.You can punish him in diffrent ways such as asking him for a fine,digging someones garden, working at someones place. Burning someone in the house can be given to the a person who has muddered or killed someone.Law 39 says that “He may, however, assign a field, garden, or house which he has bought, and holds as property, to his wife or daughter or give it for
