After looking over both Gould and Erickson theory, I believe that Erickson has a better theory in regard to female development. Erickson believed that our culture and society help us develop into the person we are today. The psychosocial stages of our development is broken up into eight different stages that happen throughout our lifetime. I agree with Erickson that our adolescent is the ones stages that helps a person figure out who they are.
