English Final Essay Michael Apted, the director of Gorillas in the Mist, had created serious dramatic settings that caused tragedy through Dian Fossey and her surroundings. Dian Fossey is a primatologist and an anthropologist who is passionately fascinated by gorillas. As she builds a strong relationship with these animals, she had essentially came across these poachers who were atrociously cruel and set up traps to kill the gorillas and use their limbs for odd twisted things such ashtrays. She had considered that gorillas are animals that could eventually become extinct especially when people are killing them. Dian had stepped in to stop this brutality against gorillas which had put her in this intimidating position that had caused tragic misfortune along the way.…show more content…
However, Africans had got in the way of her love for gorillas by hunting them down with with their own traps and weapons. As a result, this had upset her in such a significant way and she had tried her best to keep these guys away to keep her community safe. She showed no fear because she cut all the traps, burned down the poacher’s huts, threatened the guys killing the gorillas and the man who was behind all this. As soon as she settles in, she was unexpectedly murdered in her her home. Dian was remembered as a hero by reasoning of her brave courageous to prevent poachers who were rebels, from killing her passion which was gorillas.
