English Final Essay Michael Apted, the director of Gorillas in the Mist, had created serious dramatic settings that caused tragedy through Dian Fossey and her surroundings. Dian Fossey is a primatologist and an anthropologist who is passionately fascinated by gorillas. As she builds a strong relationship with these animals, she had essentially came across these poachers who were atrociously cruel and set up traps to kill the gorillas and use their limbs for odd twisted things such ashtrays. She had considered that gorillas are animals that could eventually become extinct especially when people are killing them.
