Family Genogram Research Paper
376 Words2 Pages
My genogram project was a fascinating journey into my family history. Not only did it provide me with information that I did not know about my parents’ families and my ancestry but from that information I was able to piece together bits and pieces that influenced dynamics, responses and situations I have noticed and observed in the present. In doing my genogram I have begun teasing apart generational traumas that have affected me in ways that I have and continue to learn about during my self-exploration. The one thing I learned about my family is that having a bunch of kids’ runs in our family.
My genogram is mostly about my mother’s side; I really do not know my father’s side and I could not get in touch with him to talk to him about it.
