Exercise associated muscle cramps have become a common condition experienced by all types of athletes. Treatments and prevention are often unsuccessful as well. To understand this health issue that athletes come across at points, a search of EBSCO, SPORTDiscus and Silverplatter was undertaken as an evidence acquisition from 1955 to 2008. All together it is stated that electrolyte imbalance/dehydration and neuromuscular problems are the causes of EAMC; yet experimental evidence for both theories don’t support either theory more.
