Why did gun shooting happen everywhere?
Can you image that a gun shooter could learn how to use the gun from the game? It happened in reality. In 2009, a 17-year-old German rampage shooter Tim Kretschme killed 15 people and himself in his school. The aiming, firing and reloading of a Beretta 92, the hand gun he used, was specifically introduced in the game Far Cry 2 (1). Additionally, one report from FBI illustrated that playing violent video games in a list of behaviors associated with school shootings in 2000(2). Hence, whether the violent video games should be responsible for these violent behaviors has become a controversial topic nowadays. This article demonstrates that playing violent video games may lead to more violent behavior, and two reasons will be listed as follows: playing violent video games may temporarily change children’s brain and make children react in more aggressive ways.…show more content… According to the research conducted by Dr. Vincent Matthews in Indiana University, those people who played violent-game will have less movement in the parts of brain control emotion, attention and concentration. It is indicated that the observed brain changes related with attention and concentrations are similar to those seen in teens with destructive sociopathic disorders. Although people may respond that damage to the brain is not permanent, it is possible that if one child is addicted to the video games, playing these games could change his brain for a long time.
