The Dirty Wars or the “Guerras Sucias” happened during around 1976 in Argentina. Do not have a mindset that only Argentina was the only country that had a dirty war before. Other countries have had Dirty Wars a lot worse than Argentina and Chile. In all of the Dirty wars, innocent people have died. Argentina and Chile had a rough one. The people who disappeared are never heard of again. It does not matter if you're a young child, teenager, adult, or an old person you will be taken. Sadly, today these types of wars still exist and are not easily stop. How did these wars start in Argentina and Chile? What did both countries go through during the dirty wars? She was one of the victims that witness and experienced these imprisonments. Leila words were that when 10 of her classmates and her were taken to the Estadio Chile. “There detainees were kept in the stands, with their hands tied, with soldiers constantly pointing machine guns at them”(“Life under Pinochet: They were taking a turn to electrocute us one after the other 1). This happens to Leila and her classmate was scared for their lives and during their imprisonment they lost track of time. Leila was later freed, but the strange reason was that she doesn’t know why because the soldiers just let her out. However, Leila was taken again and explain “They made me leave the house in handcuffs and they put me in a care. They put tape on my eyes and made me wear dark glasses. The tape was so I couldn’t see where they were taking me and the dark glasses so people on the street wouldn’t know I been taken”(“Life under Pinochet: They were taking a turn to electrocute us one after the other 1).
