Heavy metal pollution is one of the most major environmental problems today. Modern industries are to a large span , responsible for contamination of the environment. industrial wastes contain different types of toxic chemicals. The toxic heavy metals such as Hg, Cr, Pb, Zn, Cu, Ni, Cd, As, Co, Sn, etc. Heavy metals are serious because they tend to bioaccumulate (Senthamilselvan et al ., 2012 ). Mercury is non essential heavy metals , has always been exist at varying levels in environmental media and the biota and all mercury is, in a sense, naturally occurring; that is, Hg is not a substance of human origin. Activities of anthropogenic are thought to redistribute Hg from its original template through the atmosphere to other environmental media. Various studies have shown that the amount of Hg being deposited from the atmosphere has elevated since the onset of the industrial age. Some mercury deposits arise from natural sources while others are came from anthropogenic activities. The absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of mercury based on its form and oxidation state (Kim et…show more content… It is composed of different subfamilies of which tocopherols and tocotrienols are more studied. The different structure between the two subfamilies is that tocotrienols possess three double bonds in their side chain and this dissimilarity of structure results in differences in their efficacy and potency as antioxidants . VE is known to have been confirmed beneficial in some disease processes. It protects the body’s biological systems by preventing lipid peroxidation. Because of the health problems induced by many environmental pollutants such as heavy metals ( Pd , Cd , Hg ,As and Cr ) , much effort has been expended in evaluating the relative antioxidant potency of VE ( El- Gharieb et al.,
