Epictetus taught many lessons, but none written from him, only from his students. Out of the ones from the book, two had really caught my eye. These two lessons were ingrained in me while I was growing up, so these are the principles of my life. The first one is the eighth lesson, “Do not seek to have everything that happens happen as you wish, but wish for everything to happen as it actually does happen, and your life will be sense. This quote to me is pretty much saying do not wish to have something that is not in your reach, but wish for something so that it may become within reach. My parents had taught me this at a young age describing it to me as not to be greedy with things and to be patient for what will come in time. For example;
