The task at hand is to either deny or embrace fragility. When I break down this sentence I see fragility as something easily broken, or damaged. To be fragile is to be weak, but also beautiful. We treat fragile things so carefully, as not to break them. When I see something fragile I feel like I shouldn’t touch it, so I don’t alter its beauty. I feel like we need to embrace fragility, because it is something so special. I read the poem “The Word” and it made me think about how the word relates to fragility. I think the word itself is representative of fragility. Words are so expressive; they can explain how you feel and what you see. They can make you feel warm inside, or they can tear you apart.
