Elf The movie elf is a comedy/ fantasy. The movie is based on a guy named Buddy the Elf. Elf snuck into Santa’s bag when he was a baby. One of the elfs adopted Buddy. Buddy finds out later in his life that he is not an elf and he goes to New York to find his real father. One of the scenes Buddy finds out Santa is coming to the mall so Buddy decorates the whole room for Santa. When Santa comes it turns out to be a fake santa and Buddy starts freaking out and ends up fighting the fake Santa. That shows both a comedy and a fantasy. The fantasy to this movie is Buddy is from the North Pole and Santa and his elves are real. Buddy is the main reason for the cause and effect. When Buddy sneaks into Santa’s bag and is raised by elfs. When he is older he finds out he was adopted. Buddy wants to know who his real father is. Walter, his father does not know about him until Buddy introduces himself. The effect would be Walter and Buddy getting to know each other and having Walter accept his as a son.…show more content…
That scene is not believable because Santa and the elves are not real. But they do a good job making it seem real. When Elf meets his father he doesn’t know what to say or do so he sings to him. It would be weird to meet your father for the first time, so I think it’s believable but the singing is not believable. Another major scene is when Jovie and Buddy go on their date. They do a few weird things, like Buddy running in the elevator door, but over all it’s believable because some people actually do the things they did. The other major scene is Santa coming to New York and his engine falling off and Buddy helping Santa. Jovie starts signing to get the Christmas spirit up so the sled can fly again. The scene is presented in a believable way but knowing that Santa is not real it is also hard to
