Eleanor of Aquitaine (lived from 1122 or 1124 – 1 April 1204) she was one of the most wealthiest persons in the in western Europe during the middle ages and most powerful she was also a member of the Ramnulfid dynasty of rulers in south-western France. Soon on she became the Duchess of Aquitaine in her own right while she was still the age of a child, then later the Queen consort of France (1137–1152.) She was the patron of literary figures such as Wace, Benoît de Sainte-Maure, and Bernart de Ventadorn. Eleanor's great succession to the duchy of Aquitaine in 1137 made her one of the most eligible brides in Europe. Three months after she became a duchess, she married a man called King Louis VII of France, the son of her guardian, King Louis VI. As the Queen of France, she was a part of the Second Crusade. However soon after, Eleanor wanted permission by the pope of her marriage, but her request was denied by the Pope. The couple married on the 18th of May in the year 1152 on a Whit Sunday, eight weeks after the permission given to Eleanor's first marriage. It was placed in a cathedral in Poitiers in France.
