1.) The various key decisions that Harary, Rabie, and Varadi were required to make during the start-up of their company are as follows: A. Initially, the trio had to consider a big question upon starting their company. What should our first product be? What came next as we all know it, was the "Earth Buddy". After settling on the Buddy. The 3 business owners, had to decide where to base their first product in and initiate sales. Rabie decided that since the earth buddy emitted a very urban, environmental outlook. He decided to base the first sales at Roots Canada. Ltd. Since he felt that Roots matched the Buddy's theme very well. B. Post buddy success, and the trio were faced with yet another big decision. I would say that Spin master took a lot of non-programmed decisions. Since they took many risks, in their decisions. And, never really took the cautious approach into making their decisions. Everything was really random, and unpredictable, since they never knew whether or not investing in the British inventors' product would help their company, or end in failure. Or whether or not teaming up with Disney or Nickelodeon, would have any beneficial impact on their company. So since the owners of Spin Master followed their instincts more than rely on company policies, and rules, their decisions most often reflected a non programmed aspect. Decision Errors & Traps to avoid 2.) The company should become more independent in their ideas, and not just rely on what other companies are doing. Spin Master should take the time to invest in new, innovative ideas, that other companies are not doing, and further expand upon them. Additionally the company should encourage the use of group thinking more often, and see what other people in their business think of their products, rather than have the trio business partners make decisions for the whole
