This biography is about my grandfather and his name is Duval Dressler. He was born on April 5, 1943 in Juniata county, PA. When my grandfather was born, his father was away in World War II. It must have been hard for his mother to raise him for a few years without her husband. He has one brother and one sister.
He had a rheumatic fever as a child. This killed many children and he was one of the lucky survivors. But the rheumatic fever caused him to lose all of his teeth at an early age and he needed to use dentures. It also caused heart problems so when he was in his 60's, he had to get a new heart valve. He was not able to join the military because of the rheumatic fever, but he has two children who served in the military. My uncle
