James Mercer Langston Hughes an American poet, social activist, novelist, and columnist who was also one of the earliest innovators of the then new literary art called jazz poetry wrote the famous poem “Dream Variations”. In this poem James goes all out in such a beautiful way that he wants us the audience to imagine and get involved as if we were living that moment. James uses techniques and impressions to make the poem so vividly good.
He has such a good technique putting the poem together in a free verse which means it does not have any rhythm.
