The Armillary Sphere an Ancient device used to show and observe the movements of astronomical bodies. Using the Celestial sphere as framework of rings representing Celestial latitude and longitude and the apparent cycles of celestial bodies across the sky such as the ecliptic or the movements of Planets from a specific point of view. Some of the rings are moveable to represent the sky at different dates, times and latitudes. The armillary was intended to represent the basic principles of celestial motions
