My presentation is about Dolores Clara Fernandez Huerta. I chose Dolores Huerta for my Spanish Heritage Month presentation because she is a great women who fought for what she thought was correct and did it for the people who worked hard and deserved to be treated fairly.
Huerta was born on April 10, 1930. She was born of Juan Fernandez and Alicia Chavez in Dawson, New Mexico but raised in Stockton, California. Dolores attended Stockton High School where she began community activism. She went on the attend University of the Pacific's Stockton College, which was later named San Joaquin Delta Community College. After receiving her Provisional Teaching Credentials and she became a grammar teacher. She left her job to correct the inequality
