Some cons to policing in America is that the police are discriminating against blacks and that the police have too much power. Once the civil rights act and the fair housing act was implemented the middle class and rich blacks moved out of the ghettos. As a result there was collapse on the ghetto system. The ghettos then turned into place where police would go to distribute their tickets to meet their quota. One reason the police force did this is because poor blacks are less likely to fight a ticket then the middle class white. This has now transferred over into modern day by suppressing the problem for so many years. Another con is that police have to much power.
