Many crucial scenes happened in The Crucible, but both the movie and play have their differences. There are more differences than similarities in the two, but overall absolutely nothing changed in the story. The movie can go more in depth with the setting and make it feel so lifelike to the viewer. They play gives what it can give and requires the background information to be narrated.
