In the book “Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Dog Days” Greg is a middle school kid trying to make it through school. This summer he wants it to be the best. His definition of the best summer is sitting inside playing video games, but his parents don’t like the idea. Greg’s best friend “Rowley” likes to hang out with Greg a lot, but they get into fights all the time. Greg and Rowley go to a family club. You can go swimming, and just mainly hangout with family. They invite a new girl that recently moved to the neighborhood to the club with them, but she started talking to one of the life guards . She totally forgot about the people who brought her there. Greg was kinda sad because he could’ve made a friend who was a girl. Greg and Rowley ordered eighty dollars worth of smoothies. Today is Greg’s birthday, right when his gets all his birthday cards his mom took them to repay Mr. Jefferson. He didn’t have much money then. Then Greg wanted to open presents, but when he was done he wasn’t very happy because he got clothes. His mom noticed that he didn’t get much, so she brought him and his brothers to the pet store. She gave them each five dollars. Rodrick bought a fish, many bought food for the fish, and Greg bought a bowl. About a week later the fish died. Greg’s family was still there as it happened. Greg’s dad told them that he doesn’t know how they feel because he never had a pet die before. He told them that his dog ran away before. Then his grandpa said that he never ran away. He told him that he actually hit him when he was backing out. His dad stormed out of the house. Later that night he returned with a dog.
