Deion Sanders is an all around tri-athlete. I’m going to start with his NFL career, then to high school, and lastly at college. Deion played football, basketball, and baseball. He was amazing at all of them. He played all three sports in high school but in college he ran track, which helped him with his speed and agility. Sanders first got drafted to the Atlanta Falcons with the fifth overall draft pick. The reason why Atlanta wanted him was because he ran a 4.2 second forty-yard dash. He has the second fastest 40 yard-dash in NFL history. This made Atlanta happy. During the time he was a Falcon he intercepted 24 passes and returned three of them for touchdowns. The Cowboys signed Deion for a seven-year, $35 million contract with a $12.9 million signing bonus, making him, at the time, the highest-paid defensive player in the NFL. Deion changed his game a little bit he not only plays cornerback but also a wide receiver. Deion caught a 47 yard pass on offense, setting up Dallas' first touchdown of the game and a 27–17 victory. After the Cowboys he went to the Redskins. He picked up four interceptions in his season with the Redskins. He later announced his retirement. He retired and came back representing the Baltimore Ravens. He was lured by a Ravens player (Ray Lewis). He then played with the Ravens for two full seasons and then retired completely. Deion Sanders went to North Fort Myers High School. He excelled in three key sports football, baseball, and basketball. He was a total athlete. Deion Sanders was the best athlete at his school. He demolished other teams with his speed and his skilled touch for every sport. Deion Sanders was a defensive back in high school. He also was a great punt returner. In 1985 Deion was named to the Florida High School Association All-Century Team, which selected the top 33 players in the 100-year history of high school football in Florida.
