Enuma Elish and Genesis 1-3 are both text that explore the creation of the Human world, from the view point of (the) God(s). They both have similarities in how the world and humans came to be. In both Enuma Elish and Genesis 1-3 there is a point where the gods create humans. In Enuma Elish after Marduk creates the heavens, and makes the distinction between days he goes on to create humans. “Marduk then forms clay (cf. Gen 2:7) mixed with blood of a competing god (Quingu or Kingu)” (Myhre, 34). Marduk created humans from the earth and also incorporated an aspect of the gods into them.
