I am going to predict the story I believe the Parson will tell. In “The Prologue” the Parson is introduced to us as a holy and spiritual man. He is the kind of man who gives to the poor when he himself is living in poverty, and will visit his parishioners any time any day. His motivation is “if gold rust, what shal iren do?” (Prologue 502). This is saying if myself, a religious figure, cannot live a holy life how can I expect them to?
I predict the Parson will tell a tale that in the end will show why being holy in all things you do is best. His tale will consist of someone whose life will be changed by the Gospel teaching. It will indirectly show us how the Parson’s profession is necessary for happiness. This will boast what the Parson preaches,
