Compare The Concentration Of Evaporate At Different Rates Of Different Liquids

458 Words2 Pages
1. Introduction: Evaporation is the process in which the liquid is converted into gas. We can see evaporation on the example with a cup of tea. If you leave a cup of tea for a few days on a kitchen table, you will see that the amount of tea in the cup after few days will decrease. It changed from liquid to gas. It means that the missing tea evaporated. The rate of evaporation is effected by some factors. The most important are temperature, humidity, exposed surface area and wind. As water molecules evaporate, they take with them some of the heat from the object from which they evaporated. The result is that the object’s temperature is going slightly down. The examples of this process is our body in a hot day. As the temperature goes high, our body begins to produce sweat. As the sweat evaporates it takes with it some of the heat from our body and our body cools down.…show more content…
2. Research question: Do all liquids evaporate at the same rate? 3. Independent variable: I will be changing the liquid ( clear water, orange juice, coca cola and wine). 4. Dependent variable: I will measure the amount of liquid left after leaving the four beakers at the room for two days. 5. Controlled variables: • beakers have to be in the same place with the same temperature and same humidity (room temperature 20*C) • all the liquids have to have the temperature 20*C • beakers have to be at the room for 7 days 6. Hypothesis: I predict that all of the liquids will evaporate at different rate. I predict this because all of the liquids have different amount of sugar and contain different composition. 7.Apparatus: • 400ml of clear water ( room temperature) • 400ml Orange juice • 400ml Coca cola • 400ml Wine • 4 beakers with measures • Stopwatch • Thermometer • Notebook to record your results • Pencil to record your results
