At the beginning “Pride can stand a thousand trials, the strong will never fall” describes Romeo at the start. Romeo had so much pride as he was very popular and powerful being the son of the Montague family, he was in love with Rosaline for the simple fact that she was beautiful. But when he meet Juliet he forgot about pride and ached when he wasn’t with her. The song describes how Romeo evolves from a man with pride to a man who is in love. Also, lines such as “but watching stars without you, my soul cries” describes how Juliet felt once Romeo was banished. I’m in love with a girl is about a man that falls in love with a girl and has new emotions that he has never felt before. He discovers himself on a new emotional level that he didn’t know about before he meet her. When he says “I’m in love with a girl, finest girl in the world” would relate to Romeo after he and Juliet meet her and he feel in love with her. He was in love with Rosaline for her beauty but after meeting Juliet once he knew that she was perfect or the finest girl in the world.
