How you ever wondered about the existence of a fox? Foxes are omnivorous mammals who belong in the dog family; however, they’re more than just a clever and resourceful mammal. This paper will explain the fox’s characteristics and adaptation to their environment. Some of the different foxes are Fennec fox, Red fox,Marble fox, Arctic fox, Cross fox, Gray fox, and Silver fox. Fennec foxes, a native to North Africa and the Sahara desert, are well known for their large ears, which can serve to scatter their body heat.Its ears can adapt to high-temperature, low-water, desert environments. Foxes are harmless around humans, except when foxes have rabies or when they get captured and handled. Foxes have a tendency to flee rather than to fight with humans. Foxes may prey on small pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, or chickens, so pets should be kept inside the house. Foxes blame for the damage that they didn’t do; for example,when a fox is spotted eating from a trash can but the dogs or other animals were responsible for the mess. When foxes are rabid ;which is rarely to happen to a fox. The good news is that the dreadful disease fox don’t affect humans. Luckily, we have treatment that can fight against the disease. Foxes can live on eating rabbits, but they can eat a wide variety of foods. Foxes have highly adaptable to their foods. Their diet change with different location and season availability. It goes to same for the Red foxes, Fennec Foxes, Gray foxes, Kit foxes, and Arctic foxes. In summer, they eat insects like crickets, beetles, and caterpillars also frogs and mice. In spring, they would eat bird’s eggs and earthworms.Foxes like to hunt at dawn and dusk, but they can hunt anytime. They hunt by stalking their live prey. Foxes have excellent hearing and they use the pouncing technique because it allows them to kill their prey much quicker."
