Humans have reached for perfection for so long, and it’s been pondered if “perfection” is even attainable. Athletes, artists, and even murderers strive to be perfect, which brings up the question; is the perfect murder possible? In the story “The Utterly Perfect Murder” by Ray Bradbury, the prospect of a seamless murder, completed in a small town with no clear motive, seems very possible. However, when the narrator has a change of heart, he leaves the potential victim unscathed and very confused.
