After reading the information on Booker T. Washington and W.E.B. DuBois I have to say that their philosophies are definitely diverse. I saw how their perspectives were different because of their upbringing. Booker T. Washington learned first-hand about slavery because he was naturally introduced to it. He had seen the struggle early on, he encounter how African Americans was dealt as slaves. He was use to not having even though he wanted more. His philosophies for uplifting the former slaves was from my understanding is he felt that former slaves should disregard the idea of having rights that they needed to concentrate more on self-lifting promoting themselves by doing trades that most of them are accustom to doing anyways like cultivating
