We had finally caught the buffalo herd and settled into camp. We had been rushed to leave and chase after the herd when my father Eagle bear had suddenly said that he spotted the herd running and that we should catch up to them if we wanted food supply for the winter. Once my mother Dancing Sun found where we were going to put down our tepee we started setting up. “Blossom and Wildcat, come and help me set up the poles!” my mother called for me and my brother. We lifted up the 5 foot poles with the other women and children in the tribe. Once the poles were set in place we put the buffalo skin overtop top to create our tepee.
