Submersible Bridge Bascule Bridge: “A bascule bridge (commonly referred to as a drawbridge) is a moveable bridge with a counterweight that continuously balances a span, or "leaf," throughout its upward swing to provide clearance for boat traffic.” Vertical-lift Bridge: “A vertical-lift bridge or lift bridge is a type of movable bridge in which a span rises vertically while remaining parallel with the deck.” Table Bridge: “A table bridge is a moveable bridge in which the deck moves along the vertical axis. Hydraulic pillars under the bridge raise the bridge deck to allow barge traffic to pass beneath it.” Retractable bridge: “A retractable bridge is a type of movable bridge in which the deck can be rolled or slid backwards to open a gap while crossing traffic, usually a ship on a waterway. This type is sometimes referred to as a thrust bridge.” Folding Bridge: “It is a three-segment bascule bridge that folds in the shape of the letter N.” Curling bridge: “The bridge consists of eight triangular sections hinged at the walkway level and connected above by two-part links that can be collapsed towards the deck by hydraulic cylinders, which are concealed in vertical posts in the bridge…show more content…
It will be working with help of both, the hydraulic jack and the cables. o They both are provided so that in case if any of the one is failed, another system is there to handle it. o Cables will be winded with the help of heavy duty motors and the hydraulic jack will be filled with oil. o We are going to design a bridge in which we are providing a fully automatic system in which water level is provided on two sides, as the water level rises the sensor will activate and the bridge will automatically lift up. The bridge will be approx. one foot up above the flowing water. o When the bridge will be lifting up the alarm or the announcement will be done and the LED screen will be displaying that "WARNING THE BRIDGE IS LIFTING UP". And all the vehicles will be cleared on the bridge
