BEST BASKETBALL CHAMPIONS The history of NBA is full of best basketball champions who played over last 68 years. We forget most of them. Many of them were excellent in their skills. Some became champions but only a few of them called as the legends. Who are these greatest champs of NBA? How they embossed their names in the hearts of their fans? Kareem Abdul-Jabbar: (Born on April 16, 1947 in New York City) On number 3 we have the legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. All time leading scorer six times NBA titles winner in his 20 years career. All time leading high school basketball player continued with NBA first in Milwaukee Bucks, and after Los Angeles Lakers. His jump shots, skyhooks, were unstoppable by his opponents and he led the Lakers to enjoy the championship. His success led him to appear in movies as well. Hall of fame was “Game of Death” and “Airplane” 4. Magic Johnson: (Born on August 14, 1959 in n Lansing, Michigan) The icon of basketball Magic Johnson let the Lakers made Philadelphia 76ers defeated for the championship title. In his third season he secured 13 points for his team in addition of 13 rebounds and 13 assists and earned his second MVP award. He was the first basketball player in the team of “Cleveland Cavaliers” of the NBA. He is the youngest player who received the “Rookie of the Year” award at age of 20, the youngest player who, at the age of 28, achieved 20,000 points. “Miami Heat” got victories, in 2012 & 2013 championships of National Basketball Association (NBA), because of him. 6. Tim Duncan: (Born on April 25, 1976 on St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands) Tim Duncan is one of the greatest power forwards in NBA history. He led the San Antonio Spurs to numerous championships. He was named as NBA's Most Valuable Player in 2002 & 2003 and collected the Finals MVP award. 7. Kevin Durant: (Born on September 29, 1988 in Suitland, Maryland, outside Washington, D.C) Durant is playing for Oklahoma City Thunder. After a season of basketball at the University of Texas, he was selected in the first round of the 2007 NBA by “Seattle Super-Sonics”. Durant is a 3 times NBA’s all star and 3 times NBA’s scoring champion. In 2007 Durant signed a 60 million dollar deal with Nike.
