AutoZone’s strategy or mission is to endorse and uphold superior customer service, while keeping prices down at the same time. Yes, according to Michael Porter’s characteristics of an effective strategy, based upon their unique products, they have a good plan in place for continued growth. AutoZone focuses on car parts and vehicle maintenance products. Everyone who has a vehicle is going to require a part or maintenance products as some point in time. By relating great customer service with low prices, they are ensuring they are the parts store to go to. They work for and with the people that they encounter, instead of against them.
