El Faro Yesterday a cargo ship lost contact with authorities and today searchers found debris from the ship. The ship went down in the Caribbean Sea. They are still searching for survivors and signs of life. They found a survival suit that contained unidentifiable human remains. There is a 225 square mile field of debris but the searchers can’t find the ship. The cargo ship El Faro had a crew of 28 Americans and 5 polish nationals. The captain thought the conditions were good enough although hurricane Joaquin was in the area. Even though the forecaster predicted hurricane winds he said it wouldn’t interfere with their route. The ship encountered the storm when it would reach hurricane
