In the passage "An American Right to Food", the author Dave Murphy discusses some of the problems that come with America's food industry. Over the past few decades the food industry has been under control of a few big name companies, Murphy states. Americans may not be breaking the bank when purchasing their food, but risk for their wellbeing, pollution of the environment, and the inequality amongst employees that work for these food corporations. He then goes on to explain that Americans have started to catch on to these issues and have increased concern about where their food comes from and who produces it.
