It is no secret that many of us who proclaim to follow Jesus Christ and His word often end up falling short of living up to the way of life of our Lord. Being a follower of Jesus is a lifetime journey towards conforming ourselves to the image and way of life that Jesus taught others to live. In his sermon on the mount he specifically puts a lot of emphasis on being happy, having a pure heart and obedience, and seeking God for comfort when experiencing loss. Jesus Christ also wants you to love those as though you love yourself, which can become difficult when they do wrong.
